Description

When emperor Wu Zetian ruled the Great Tang, she changed the dynasty name of her reign to "Zhou", hence the clothing is called Zhou style. Wu Zetian is the first and last woman to become emperor in Chinese history, the female clothing became less restricted and fashion trends grew more audacious under her power. She also actively promoted the teachings of Buddhism against others which emphasized the importance of women being submissive and demure. It was common to see noble females around the time wearing low-cut tops or "ru" that exposed the cleavage.

Fascinating!
I always appreciate people teaching me!
Tell me, is this part of what was called "Hu hua" under the T'ang? I understand nomad-style trousers and belts became popular.
Nice work, too!!
